Regulatory Compliance Specialist
This is a highly visible field leadership position for a construction quality professional with strong USACE / federal construction experience and the technical background to oversee quality control from project start through completion.
Qualified candidates must have:- TX Professional Engineer (PE) OR graduation from an ABET-accredited engineering program
- 6+ years of Construction Quality Management experience
- 2+ years of Structural Concrete experience
- 2+ years of Structural Backfill experience
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications and contract requirements
- Ability to work directly with Project Managers, Superintendents, SSHOs and Project Engineers
The Quality Control Manager will help maintain quality standards across assigned projects while serving as a technical resource and leader for QC personnel.
Key responsibilities include:- Manage and perform daily project QC activities
- Ensure construction complies with plans, specifications and established standards
- Audit projects for compliance with QC procedures
- Coordinate QC staffing with project leadership
- Provide technical guidance to QC Specialists and project teams
- Train and develop QC/Project Engineering personnel
- Review contracts, subcontracts, plans and specifications
- Assist with development and implementation of project QC procedures
- Identify potential quality issues and develop corrective solutions
- Oversee subcontractor work and quality compliance
- Coordinate and conduct client quality meetings
- Serve as a key member of the overall project leadership team
This position isn't simply about inspecting completed work.
You’ll serve as a technical advisor and quality leader, helping project teams identify potential issues before they become problems and ensuring consistent execution across the project.
You’ll work closely with:This is primarily a construction site-based position.
Candidates should be comfortable with:- Extended time on active construction sites
- Walking and standing for extended periods
- Uneven terrain and outdoor conditions
- Heavy equipment, tools, dust and construction materials
- Occasional extended hours, evenings or weekends based on project requirements
- Travel to project sites or company locations as needed
