14/CBS4 is seeking an aggressive, energetic and creative part‑time Weekend Assignment Editor/Associate Producer. This role requires strong logistical skills, adept communication, and the ability to coordinate crews strategically in the El Paso‑Las Cruces DMA.

• Assign and track news crews for live coverage.
• Identify and develop daily content, including beat checks and breaking news.
• Write and post content to the station website and social media sites.
• Maintain contacts and sources for enterprise story ideas.
• Assist in efficient assignment desk operations.

• Commitment to journalistic standards of ethics and accuracy.
• Effective communication under pressure and ability to meet deadlines.
• Basic computer knowledge and word‑processing skills.
• General knowledge and interest in local, national, and world news.
• Proficiency with Facebook, Twitter, and emerging social media platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism preferred.
