Surgery - General Physician

We are seeking a skilled Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (ACS)
Surgeon to join our dynamic surgical team in El Paso, Texas. This is a compositeposition with coverage split between a Level II Trauma Center and a Level IIITrauma Center, offering a diverse clinical experience and excellentprofessional support.

Position Overview

• Shifts: 9-14 shifts per month
• Trauma Levels: Level II and Level III centers
• Compensation:
• $3,000 per Level II shift
• $2,000 per Level III shift

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma and acute care surgical services in both Level II and Level III settings.
• Manage emergent surgical cases, trauma evaluations, and inpatient surgical care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including emergency medicine, critical care, and surgical subspecialists.
• Supervise and work alongside APPs (Advanced Practice Providers).
• Participate in teaching opportunities with medical students.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold hospital standards and protocols.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery; fellowship in Surgical Critical Care or Trauma/ACS preferred.
• Current or recent experience in a Level II Trauma Center is required.
• Texas medical licensure.
