Lead Senior Environmental Project Manager

WSP is a global leader in engineering and professional services. We invite a qualified Lead Senior Environmental Project Manager to support our Environmental Business Line in El Paso, Texas.
As an integral member of the team, you will help expand our environmental consulting practice and deliver high‑quality services to clients across industrial, commercial, mining, energy, and government sectors.
Responsibilities- Identify and develop new environmental clients, including networking within and outside WSP.
- Manage environmental projects involving site characterization, remedial design, and environmental compliance, ensuring deliverables, schedules, and budgets are achieved.
- Perform field work for site characterization and remediation projects, oversee subcontractors and sampling of soil, soil vapor, sediment, surface water, and groundwater in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Analyze data and produce reports for specific project tasks with minimal supervision.
- Recommend remedial solutions to technical problems following accepted scientific and engineering practices.
- Provide technical review to ensure projects comply with environmental laws, company standards, contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Travel to project sites primarily in Texas and occasionally in the mountain states of the West; minimal overnight travel.
- Maintain communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and internal personnel to ensure smooth workflow.
- Mentor and train junior staff to prepare them for additional responsibilities.
- Manage and coordinate project teams, ensuring technical quality of deliverables.
- Participate in technical discussions and collaborate with team members.
- Lead business development activities, pursue and grow client relationships in the public or private sector.
- Prepare proposals, including innovative technical approaches and competitive pricing, and present to clients.
- Manage technical performance, budgets, and schedules to achieve client satisfaction.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company resources and conduct, adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Manager (PG) license, Texas preferred.
- 10+ years of post‑education experience with increasing responsibility.
- Strong background delivering environmental consulting services to industrial, commercial, mining, energy, and government clients.
- Demonstrated expertise with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including TRRP.
- Experience with field investigations for site assessments, remediation, field management, and sampling.
- Project management experience overseeing deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
- Self‑starter, team‑oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Business development experience and proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships; experience in proposal preparation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel to project sites primarily in Texas; minimal overnight travel.
- Must pass background check and have satisfactory driving record in accordance with WSP’s policies.
