Electrical Engineer III

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer III to support the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems and components. The ideal candidate will play a key role in leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the successful execution of projects in compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Electrical Distribution Design.
• Performance and coordination of power system studies.
• Support tasks including lighting, load flow, voltage drop and short circuit calculations.
• Ensure installation and operations conform to specifications, codes and customer requirements.
• Prepare electrical systems specifications and technical drawings using Autocad/Revit.
• Design circuits, electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, conduit and equipment schedules.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for internal and external use, including design files, product O&M manuals and submittals.
• Write reports and compile data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects.
• Lead engineering projects as required.
• Client interface for scoping, managing and development of proposals.
• Provide technical content and assistance to Marketing, as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred. If not in Texas, should be registered within 36 months of employment.
• Design Experience, 480V, 5KV, and 15KV PREFERRED.
• MV MCC Controls Design Experience PREFERRED.
  5-10 years professional experience in Industrial Plant, Engineering, or Consulting industry.
• Knowledge of engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI.
• Must be computer literate.
• Knowledge of codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, ANSI, API, ICC, NFPA, etc.)
• Engineering software such as SKM, ETAP, or Easy Power, and Relay Programming (SEL)
• Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience leading and collaborating with other Engineers, including training project team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
