Telecommunications Construction Lead
Telecommunication and Construction Services Company has a position open for a Telecommunications Construction Lead. Candidate will work with construction personnel and offer guidance on construction methods and procedures to comply with project specifications. Monitor on‑site progress. Serve as the primary point of contact onsite. Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate telecommunications systems into infrastructure builds. Assist in the application of civil engineering principles.
Validate effectiveness of new equipment. Interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and telecom systems schematics. Support alignment of MEP layouts with telecommunications systems schematics. Participate in project planning. Ensure compliance of federal, state, local building and telecom codes. Coordinate utility services and required inspections. Oversee contractor and vendor activities. Maintain records (safety logs, incident reports). Conduct site assessments. Review and update as‑built drawings.
Ensure all team members understand project goals, safety and compliance measures. Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in civil engineering or construction management as well as two years experience as special systems project coordinator or telecommunications field supervisor. Training and skilled in design and document management (AutoCAD, Revit, Procore), project management (Asana Essentials), building management systems, use of geospatial software, knowledge of RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and copper/fiber cabling systems.
