OverviewGarver is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in our El Paso office to join our established Texas Water team. The Project Engineer will be led by a Project Manager on a team consisting of multi-disciplinary design engineers and CAD technicians focused on production of reports, studies, technical memoranda, plans, details, and specifications. The Project Engineer must be capable of working closely with clients to ensure their expectations of service are exceeded.
Responsibilities- Water conveyance and distribution including pump stations and storage facilities
- Wastewater conveyance and collection including pumping/lift stations and force mains
- Water and wastewater treatment plants
- Improvements and retrofitting of existing facilities
- Water, wastewater and reuse master planning

Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in civil, biological, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- 2+ years of experience related to design of municipal water/wastewater conveyance and/or treatment systems
- Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or able to obtain in the next 6 months
- Master’s degree in civil, biological, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Microstation, GIS, Water
CAD, or Sewer
CAD experience - Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
