The M/E Engineer 2 will support mechanical and electrical engineering coordination for mission-critical construction projects, with a particular focus on electrical systems and multidisciplinary building services.

This role contributes throughout the project lifecycle, from preconstruction planning and estimating through construction, commissioning, and closeout. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and subcontractor submittals, coordinating mechanical and electrical systems, developing schedules, conducting site inspections, supporting constructability reviews, and assisting with commissioning activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, design teams, subcontractors, field personnel, and clients to identify potential construction issues, coordinate technical deliverables, and ensure electrical and related building systems are installed and tested in accordance with contract documents and project requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the stated education requirement.
• At least 2 years of construction and/or engineering experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Understanding of construction management methods and construction sequencing.
• Ability to coordinate technical activities and support mechanical/electrical system integration.
• Working knowledge of project scheduling, inspections, constructability reviews, and submittal processes.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and within established deadlines.
• Strong collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience supporting electrical engineering or M/E coordination on complex commercial construction projects.
• Exposure to mission-critical facilities, such as data centers or other high-availability infrastructure.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems, emergency power, backup power, or related building infrastructure.
• Experience supporting commissioning, functional testing, and system turnover.
• Familiarity with subcontractor coordination, bid analysis, cost estimating, and construction scheduling.
• Experience using construction engineering and M/E estimating software.
• Experience identifying constructability issues and resolving drawing or installation conflicts.

Understands how electrical systems interface with mechanical and other building systems.

Coordinates system schedules, sequencing, and installation activities to support project milestones.

Interprets construction documents and identifies design, coordination, and quality concerns.

Helps prepare testing documentation and coordinate system verification.

Identifies construction challenges and supports practical, timely resolution.

Explains technical requirements clearly to clients, subcontractors, design teams, and project stakeholders.

Builds productive relationships across engineering, field operations, preconstruction, and project management.
