Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant, El Paso, TX Base Pay Range

$65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a fast‑paced, growing organization. You will be working closely with our financial team, playing a pivotal role in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. This role requires a high level of financial acumen, attention to detail, and project management abilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax accounting laws and regulations and a proven track record of managing multiple projects.

• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
• Review all inter‑company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Coordinate semi‑annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits.
• Conduct regular ledger maintenance.
• Adhere to the company’s or organization’s financial policies and procedures.
• Attend finance department and company‑wide meetings, sometimes assisting with financial reporting to managers and senior executives.
• Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
• 5+ years’ experience in general or tax accounting.
• Experience with computerized ledger systems.
• Advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger and statutory accounting.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
