Responsible for adjudicating Professional (CMS-1500) claims. Calculates benefits for manually processed claims, attachment claims, and complaint/appeals. Assists with testing on claims system updates. Meets production and quality standards.
Skills- Two years of experience processing professional claims (CMS-1500) required.
- One year of medical billing or working in a physician’s office or other medical services setting is preferred. Solid understanding of CPT-4, HCPCS, and ICD-10 diagnostic coding, medical terminology, and Corrective Coding Initiative required.
- Experience with Medicaid and/or Medicare preferred.
