Registered Pharmacy Tech. Part-Time (In-Patient-Rotating)

Assists pharmacist in the distribution of medication for Inpatient and Outpatient use. Responsibilities include inventory control, narcotic record keeping, TPN calculations and chemotherapeutic medication preparation.

• Assist the pharmacist in the distribution of medication for inpatient and outpatient use.
• Maintain inventory control and narcotic record keeping.
• Perform TPN calculations and prepare chemotherapeutic medications as required.

• Basic computer literacy and keyboard data entry skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to use computer applications.
• Advanced pharmacy technician knowledge of pharmacy terminology and procedures.

• Work Experience:
  
  Previous work experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred.
• License/Registration/Certification:
  Current registration for Pharmacy Technician with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. I.V. Certification completed within 3 months of hire. Annual I.V. Certification.
• Education and Training:
  High School graduate or equivalent. Graduation from a Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
