Under the general supervision of the Department Director, performs daily administrative and management oversight for effective workflow and ensures compliance with Joint Commission, Medicare, Medicaid conditions of participation and other regulatory and practice standards for in-patient and out-patient areas. Functions in a leadership and consulting role with other Management staff of the Department. Designs and implements procedures for the collection of statistical information, identifies problems with processes and implements solutions.
Collaborates with the Director to develop and implement new methods and procedures to improve Associate's productivity and customer service. Assists the Director in the operational and budgetary planning process of the Department. Will assist in the training and evaluation of Associates according to Department policies and procedures. May act as Director of the Respiratory Care and EEG in the absence of Director.
- Must have thorough knowledge of all phases of Respiratory Care.
- Possesses critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in creative problem solving and strong analytical skills.
- Must be self-motivated, analytical, good troubleshooter and goal oriented.
- Strong functional and detailed analysis skills with process oriented focus.
- Ability to collaborate with team members and Management for projects and Hospital operational issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all Associates/customers.
- Work Experience:
Four years experience in clinical Respiratory Care with two of those years in Management/Supervision. - License/Registration/Certification:
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Current Texas Respiratory Care License
- Current ACLS and CPR certification
- Education and Training:
Graduate of a (2) year AMA approved school of Respiratory Care.
