Ensures that all claims are being processed accurately and providers are being reimbursed in a timely and correct manner.
Skills- Working knowledge of auditing concepts and statistical analysis methods.
- Ability to perform in an environment involving quotas for auditing standards.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to seek out new methods and principles to improve services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Four years of experience in claims processing, coding and/ or auditing required. Knowledge and familiarity with ICD 9/10 diagnosis, CPT 4, CMS and Medicaid claims processing requirements, Fraud and Abuse rules, Quality Control and Quality Improvement activities, HCPCS and State of Texas local coding.
License/Registration/CertificationNone.
Education and TrainingHigh school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree preferred.
