Overview
The Diagnostic Radiology Supervisor develops and monitors department specific systems in coordination of activities directed toward quality improvement of patient care in the department. Performs a wide range of radiology procedures on patients of varying ages, coordinates all associated tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while the patient is in the department for procedures. Assists with preparation and maintains department budget.
Supervises assigned technologists.
Responsible for coordinating department activities to support quality patient care and efficiency of radiology services. Supervises technologists and supports department budget and workflow to ensure timely, accurate radiology procedures.
Required Skills- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to efficiently organize time to accomplish department s goals.
- Knowledgeable of radiology department policies and procedures.
- Proficient in use/knowledge of hospital computer systems.
Work Experience: Four years of experience as a Radiology Technologist; hospital setting preferred. Two years of supervisory experience required.
License/Registration/Certification- MRT, Texas Certified Medical Radiological Technologist required
- ARRT (R) required. Any additional one BD, M, CT, S, QM or N preferred.
- CPR certified.
Education: Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences from an accredited school of Radiology.
