Overview

We seek a compassionate and dedicated individual to fill the position of Residential Aide at our Maternity Home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and assisting pregnant women and mothers in a residential setting. This role involves ensuring the well‑being and comfort of our guests, facilitating group activities, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.

Resident Support
  • Provide support and guidance to guests.
  • Assist guests in daily living activities, ensuring their physical and emotional well‑being.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to address guests' medical and emotional needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the maternity home, rooted in Christian love and compassion.
  • Collaborate with other entities when addressing clients' needs.
Personal Care
  • Assist guests with personal hygiene routines and self‑care, recognizing the sacredness of their bodies as vessels of life.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of living spaces, reflecting our reverence for the space entrusted to us.
  • Manage cleaning schedules and keep accurate records of tasks and chores assigned to guests throughout the stay.
Safety and Security
  • Maintain a safe and secure living environment for guests, including conducting walk‑throughs periodically and throughout the night to ensure curfew times are kept.
  • Monitor and address any safety concerns promptly, reporting to the Lily Pad Coordinator or directly to the guests if the issue can be resolved immediately.
  • Implement and enforce house rules and policies rooted in Christian values, cultivating a community atmosphere.
Daily Operations
  • Oversee daily activities, including mealtimes, chores, and recreational activities, and coordinate transportation needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and activities.
  • Assure compliance with all licenses and inspections required.
  • Adhere to all Policies and Procedures at all times.
  • Assure adequate and accurate stewardship of all resources.
  • Maintain total transparency throughout the delivery of services.
Education and Guidance
  • Provide approved educational materials and resources on prenatal care, parenting, and life skills.
  • Conduct approved workshops and sessions training on daily living skills.
Communication
  • Communicate effectively with guests, staff, and external partners.
  • Report any concerns or incidents to the supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain open communication with the Lily Pad Coordinator at all times.
Advocacy
  • Advocate for guests' needs within the community.
  • Collaborate with community resources with a faith‑based perspective.
Qualifications
  • Must be a professed, faithful, and engaged Christian who believes in life‑affirming care, guided by biblical principles.
  • Previous experience in residential care, particularly in a maternity home setting, is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Must be able to speak English fluently and Spanish, with a heart open to embracing diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Compassionate and non‑judgmental attitude towards guests facing various challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Must be drug‑free and advocate for a drug‑free environment.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Must have a valid Texas Driver’s license and valid insurance to drive company vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of human life from conception to natural death.
  • Must be computer literate, including essential words and data entry.
  • Able to accept responsibility, follow and exceed organizational standards.
