Experience

Previous experience in medical billing or a similar financial role is preferred. Familiarity with insurance billing procedures and regulations is an advantage.

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Additional education or certification in medical billing or healthcare administration is a plus.
Language
  • English required (Spanish is a plus) to communicate with clients and staff.
  • Bilingual preferred.

Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of medical billing software is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify billing discrepancies and work towards effective resolutions.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
  • Billing and Posting Clerk.
  • Billing Management – Process and prepare invoices and billing statements for clients accurately and timely.
  • Ensure compliance with established billing standards and regulations.
  • Record all patient payments and insurance reimbursements accurately into the accounting system.
  • Reconcile discrepancies and ensure correct account balances.
  • Review and verify billing data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is gathered and complete before invoicing.
  • Assist in reconciling any discrepancies or issues with accounts.
  • Work with clients and insurance companies to resolve billing errors or disputes.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to facilitate smooth billing operations. Address any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
