Responsibilities
Oversee provision and delivery of patient care on the unit. Provide direct care to patients and ensure their needs are met. Supervise assigned unit staff, train and guide therapists and interns, and manage day‑to‑day unit schedule and activities. Contribute to hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and quality improvement efforts while ensuring unit meets established standards of care, mental health practice and facility policy.
Qualifications- Education:
Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work related field. - Experience:
Two (2) years in a psychiatric health‑care facility preferred. - Licensure:
Current LPC, LPC‑A, LMSW, LCSW issued by the State of Texas. - Requirements:
Completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days of employment. Thorough knowledge of Joint Commission/HCFA, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements.
