Description

At Elite Medical Transport our Paramedics and EMTs (at all levels) are responsible for responding to requests for medical care and transport of patients in a wide variety of circumstances, from calls to 9-1-1 to requests from local healthcare facilities. Employees in this position must be able to:

  • Examine and evaluate patients to determine the necessary physical, environmental and psychological care
  • Provide this care according to their level of certification/licensure, assigned Job Description and Clinical Practice Guidelines
  • Provide patients with this care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment
  • Document patient information, condition, and treatment according to policy
  • Gather patient data and ancillary medical records according to policy
  • Obtain necessary information and signatures for patient financial services
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
  • Transport patients in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients
  • Operate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws
  • Operate an IBM-compatible computer and report on services provided using a desktop application
