Responsibilities- Assist patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs by enabling access to therapeutic treatment skills and achieving optimal emotional health and stability.
- Provide basic consultation, teaching, individual and group therapy, family sessions, and crisis intervention services.
- Participate in initiating referral services and provide information to patients.
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field from an accredited institution. Must hold a license in good standing or be within 90 days of obtaining the required license.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year in a mental‑health setting with strong clinical assessment skills and direct experience in family, group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment planning. Must have experience documenting services rendered. Preferred psychiatric facility experience.
- License: State license required at the time of employment. If not currently licensed, must obtain it within 90 days of employment and provide proof of licensure.
- Preferred Licensure: Texas license in Social Work or a clinically related mental health field (e.g., LPC‑Intern, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT).
- Additional requirements:
Handle With Care training within 30 days, annual competency assessments, flexible hours—including overtime, holidays, and weekends—TB test and CPR certification before patient contact, and knowledge of CMS, TJC, TAC, OSHA, state and federal regulatory requirements, and hospital policies.
