- Clerical, Under general supervision ensures correct assignment of medical records numbers, retrieves medical records collects birth certificate information, sorts and files reports. Updates record deficiency information and maintains microfilm area.
Work Experience:
- One year of experience in Health Information Management or healthcare-related work experience to include Hospital/clinic/physicians' medical billing/insurance office.
- An associate's degree in Health Information Management (HIM), Medical Billing and Coding or a related field can be substituted for work experience.

Education and TrainingHigh School graduate or equivalent.
Skills- Basic knowledge of Health Information Systems practices, procedures and guidelines.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Knowledgeable of medical terminology.
- Knowledgeable of or ability to learn maintenance of Hospital medical records.
- Knowledgeable of or ability to learn multiple computer systems of Hospital medical records.
