The Registrar/Scheduler facilitates the patient flow at the clinic providing services necessary to schedule, register, and greet patients.

Minimum Position Requirements

• One year of office and/or customer service experience required with knowledge of basic office equipment and computer software programs. Healthcare or financial background preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training or educational background with medical terminology and familiarity with ICD-10 coding preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.
• Ability to deal tactfully with employees, patients, visitors and the general public.
• Basic computer literacy and keyboarding skills required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills required. Proficient written and verbal English skills required.
• Some knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with ICD9 coding.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills required.
• Knowledge of commercial and managed care payors and terminology.
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment with frequent interruptions.
• Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and works well under pressure.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
