This role reports to our National Aviation Vertical and requires 100% travel across project sites in the U.S.
Role Summary:
The General Superintendent will develop and execute project plans, oversee complex projects, manage teams, plan construction sequencing, and ensure project goals are met, aligning with JE Dunn’s strategy, vision, and values.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading safety culture and investigations
- Managing subcontractors, staff, and project workflows
- Developing work plans and managing site operations
- Leading meetings and managing schedules and budgets
- Ensuring quality and supporting project closeouts
- Participating in project pursuits and negotiations
- Recruiting top talent and promoting diversity and inclusion
Additional responsibilities:
- Managing large, complex projects from start to finish
- Providing leadership and strategic initiatives
- Developing training content and delivering leadership messages
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, project management, and scheduling software
- Knowledge of construction processes, trades, and self-perform labor
- Ability to manage budgets, build relationships, and apply Lean principles
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
- 12+ years construction experience; 10+ years field supervision
- Experience leading Lean projects is a plus
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
