Under direct supervision, trains to perform duties related to the preparation and manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, and/or medical devices in accordance with standard operating procedures, as regulated by quality, environmental, and safety agencies (FDA, OSHA, etc.).
Responsibilities- Complete required documentation (such as batch records, returns, etc.).
- Understand production processes within area of assignment and operate manufacturing equipment accordingly.
- Operate equipment following manufacturing instructions and procedures, including machine setup and parameter documentation.
- Follow GMPs and standard operating procedures.
- Follow process and utility flow diagrams.
- Transport materials safely using material handling equipment, with assistance as needed.
- Perform safety inspections and report hazards.
- Adhere to safety procedures, monitor behaviors, and maintain housekeeping.
- Participate in internal audits and team activities.
- Support investigations and safety assessments, and implement corrective actions.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Maintain safety, quality, and environmental standards, including PPE use and hazard reporting.
- Comply with all regulations and company policies, including FDA, ISO, OSHA.
- Identify and record environmental issues and follow the Environmental Management System.
- Complete regulatory training and operator training programs.
- Assist with other projects or assignments as directed.
- Seek continuous improvement in processes and systems.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and seek assistance when needed.
- High School Diploma/GED or 4 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or GMP-compliant industry preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English preferred.
- Operating skills for manufacturing equipment, tools, and hand/pallet jacks preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry, email, word processing, and spreadsheets preferred.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills required.
