Job Family: IT Infrastructure and Operations

  • As an IBD-SS GBOSS Field Service Representative one will perform maintenance, training, and work closely with military customers.
  • Has experience performing mechanical, hydraulics, electronics, and IT networking tasks.
  • Installs, de‑installs, tests systems and components, and performs preventive maintenance on diverse systems including BETSS‑C, Cerberus, RDISS, Radar, PTP radio, television, and other communications & surveillance equipment.
  • Supports installation, configuration and maintenance of servers in physical and virtual environments.
  • Ensures systems are updated with latest security patches and software updates.
  • Plans and executes systems upgrades and hardware/software installations.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Performs operational checks, induction and return‑to‑service inspections, troubleshoots faults, removes and replaces components, services generators, replaces fluids, makes adjustments and alignments, uses hand tools and electronic measuring devices such as AC/DC voltmeters, ohmmeters, and follows technical manuals, engineering documents, schematic diagrams, safety bulletins, and news flashes; inputs data into databases and retrieves information for reports.
  • Capable of routine system maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configuration, use of diagnostic testing tools, reading circuit schematics, repairing printed circuit boards, and performing minor generator maintenance such as oil and filter changes.
  • Acts independently as an IBDSS representative and customer‑service point of contact in a distributed, geographically separated environment; manages health and serviceability of multiple systems across a wide-spread geographic area.
  • Performs sustainment and PMCS maintenance on towers and payloads.
  • Performs site surveys to determine system type and placement.
  • Trains operators and end users.
  • Updates databases, informs lead of job status and issues, and can generate and produce data and reports.
  • Tracks and updates work orders, including replacement of parts, entry of serial numbers, and experience with COLTS (or similar such as RCLS); experience with GCSS-A is strongly desired.
  • Will travel via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas to support the mission.
What you will need to succeed
  • BA/BS + 5-8 years of relevant experience; experience will be considered in lieu of education requirements.
  • US Secret Security Clearance required.
  • BETSS‑C Certified is preferred; BETSS‑C experience is required.
  • Previous experience with the G‑BOSS platform preferred but not required.
  • Ability to meet physical demands: lift and carry 50 lbs., climb ladders, kneel, squat, stand, and other physical requirements.
  • Able to work in austere environmental conditions in remote deployment locations.

The likely salary range for this position is $89,250 - $120,750. This is not a guaranteed compensation; actual salary will depend on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
