- As an IBD-SS GBOSS Field Service Representative one will perform maintenance, training, and work closely with military customers.
- An individual who has experience performing mechanical, hydraulics, electronics, and IT Networking tasks.
- Installs, de‑installs, testing systems and components, and performing preventive maintenance actions on a variety of systems belonging to the Elevated Sensors family of systems to include BETSS‑C, Cerberus, RDISS, Radar, PTP radio, television, and other communications & surveillance equipment components.
- Supports the installation, configuration and maintenance of servers including physical and virtual environments.
- Ensures systems are updated with latest security patches and software updates.
- Plans and executes systems upgrades and hardware/software installations.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Performs operational checks, induction and return to service inspections, troubleshoots faults, removes and replaces components, services generators, removes and replaces fluids, makes adjustments and alignments, uses hand tools and electronic measuring devices such as AC/DC voltmeters and ohms meters able to read, understand, and follow technical manuals, engineering documents, schematic diagrams, safety bulletins, and news flashes; be able to input data into databases and retrieve data to perform maintenance or provide reports as requested.
- Capable of routine system maintenance and analysis functions including hardware configurations; adding, removing, and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools; reading electronic circuit schematics; and repairing printed circuit boards and perform minor maintenance on generators such as changing oil and filter and other duties as assigned related to scope of AOR (area of responsibility of an FSR / FST).
- Acts independently as IBDSS representative and customer service point of contact in a distributed, geographically separated environment; manages health and serviceability of multiple systems across a wide‑spread geographic area.
- Performs sustainment and PMCS maintenance on the towers and payloads.
- Performs site surveys to determine the type and placement of systems.
- Trains operators and end users.
- Updates databases, informs lead of job status and any issues encountered and must have the ability to generate/produce data and reports.
- Tracks and updates work orders to include the replacement of parts component serial numbers removed and replaced, experience utilizing COLTS (or similar such as RCLS); experience within the GCSS‑A environment is strongly desired.
- Will travel via military/commercial conveyances to outlying areas to support mission.
- BA/BS + 5-8 years of relevant experience; experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements.
- US Secret Security Clearance Required.
- BETSS‑C Certified is preferred; however BETSS‑C experience is required.
- Previous experience with the G‑BOSS platform is preferred but not required.
- The ability to meet physical demands of the position that may include lifting and carrying 50 lbs., climbing ladders, kneeling, squatting, standing and other physical requirements to meet the position.
