Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Assembler I (Weekend Shift) - EP1.

The hourly rate for this position is $16.22 per hour. The shift hours are 6:00 am – 6:30 pm.

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

The Assembler I is responsible for a wide range of tasks including wiring, assembling, fitting, and mounting subassemblies and components in electrical control equipment. You will perform assembly or wiring required for test preparation and final inspection, use power‑checking procedures and equipment to verify electrical/mechanical integrity, and ensure all assignments meet the required quantity and quality standards.

• Perform the assigned function from oral or written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing information.
• Handle materials following established procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on all plant equipment in the area of assignment as required.
• Inspect and test finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and codes.
• Maintain progress of jobs and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.
• Handle finished products for shipment; call carriers and load materials into carrier vehicles.
• Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures, maintain equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly via 5‑S duties.
• Lift 35 lbs. with reasonable accommodation as required.

Required (Basic)

Qualifications:

• Only candidates residing within a 50‑mile radius of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility will be considered (active‑duty military candidates are exempt).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 1 year of prior manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Basic computer skills and use of software applications.
• Available to work overtime when required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in a technical discipline.
• Forklift operation certification.
• Experience with supply‑chain systems (AS400, MAPICS).
• Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly (panel boards/switchboards).
• Experience in electrical equipment maintenance/installation.

Experience using various tools, hand and power tools, measuring equipment, and safety equipment.

Strong teamwork, safety orientation, ability to follow procedures, and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement.
