Shift: 1st Shift
7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday
Pay: $12.00/hr + Benefits after 90 days
ExpressPoint Technology Services, Inc., a distributor of a broad range of technology products and depot maintenance services, has a full-time opportunity for a Packaging Specialist. The packager is responsible for placing electronic equipment into the appropriate packing material and boxes the item in preparation for shipment. This position also performs basic end of the line visual product inspection and delivers packaged items to our Shipping department.
This position requires basic computer skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable using web-based warehouse management software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).This is a great entry-level position for anyone who is interested in a stepping stone to a career in electronics repair, logistics or who enjoys a fast paced position in a friendly environment.
- Packs product into boxes using approved packing materials and carefully following procedures to prevent shipping damage.
- Inspects visually or using other appropriate tests to ensure products consistently do not appear to be defective.
- Proactively raises awareness of issues.
- Supports production line in a timely and accurate manner.
- Operates conveyors, pallet jacks, carts and/or other equipment.
- Under direct supervision, locates missing or lost material both internally and externally.
- All other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- 0-6 months of related experience
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to learn ESD handling procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, team lift for large items
- High School level math, reading and writing skills
- Good communication, interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Must be flexible, adaptable and able to learn new methods and procedures as requested or required to meet company and customer needs
