MILK RECEIVER

SUMMARY: The Milk Receiver is responsible for receiving raw milk deliveries, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and accurately documenting all incoming products. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity and supporting the production process in a food manufacturing facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Verify tanker seals, temperature, and milk quality upon arrival
• Collect and test milk samples for compliance with regulatory and company standards (e.g., antibiotics, temperature, odor)
• Operate pumps, valves, and related equipment to transfer milk from tanker to storage silos
• Ensure proper sanitation of hoses and connections before and after unloading
• Complete receiving logs, quality test records, and inventory updates accurately
• Maintain compliance with state and federal dairy regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA)
• Clean and sanitize receiving area and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Follow all food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and HACCP guidelines.
• Coordinate with drivers, quality assurance, and production teams regarding delivery schedules and issues

QUALIFICATIONS &

EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or general education requirement equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of dairy or food manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality testing procedures
• Ability to operate pumps, valves, and CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems
• Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping skills
