Base pay range

$42,000.00/yr - $84,000.00/yr

SUMMARY: The Education Manager will manage Junior Achievement (JA) programs with particular emphasis on volunteer recruiting, training, placement, support, and recognition. The Education Manager will facilitate volunteer and teacher activities, uphold quality standards for the organization, assure adherence to program models and program expansion, and develop and maintain good educator relationships at all levels. The Education Manager may also assist with grant administration, fundraising, and special events.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Implement programs according to the Strategic Plan.

· Develop and maintain educator relationships.

· Work with community boards in conjunction with JA President.

· Assure program quality through teacher and volunteer phone calls, classroom monitoring, and service.

· Provide feedback, program materials, and resources to volunteers and teachers.

· Organize and implement volunteer orientations.

· Identify, cultivate, and maintain regular contact with company representatives.

· Develop and implement recognition programs that are of interest and value to participants, including events, scholarships, awards, and gifts.

· Maintain a strong understanding of new and existing JA products.

· Handle general records and correspondence with volunteers and prospects, file class registration forms, communicate with marketing on volunteer needs, and coordinate procurement and delivery of all program materials.

· Assist all program related Board committees in carrying out their specific functions. Prepare materials for Board and Committee meetings.

· Provide assistance with grant administration, including grant writing and grant reporting.

· Provide assistance to President or other Board members in planning and executing special events and fundraising activities.

· Assist with other projects as needed, including event support on weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·
Required Experience, Skills or Experience:

oExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively in professional and public settings

oBachelors Degree preferred

oDriver’s license, as well as reliable transportation

Preferred Experience, Skills or Experience:

oAt least 2 years’ experience in non-profit sector

oExperience with grant writing or grant administration

oBachelor’s degree in related field

oBilingual (English and Spanish)

·Physical Requirements:

oContinually required to talk or hear

oFrequently required to sit and walk

oOccasionally required to reach with hands and arms,

oOccasionally required to bend, lift, or climb, lift and carry light weights (25-50 pounds)

oSpecific vision abilities include: close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust or focus.

TRAINING:

· Initial and on-going training provided by Junior Achievement USA and local entities
