Qualifications POSITION SUMMARYThe Graduate Nurse (GN) is a graduate‑level professional nurse who coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care set by the Texas Board of Nursing.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
Licensure: Graduate permit may be used on a temporary basis; an RN license is required upon permit expiration or within six months of hire.
Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications; must hold current CPR certification upon hire; successful completion of Handle With Care, including physical hold and verbal de‑escalation, is required during orientation.
