Shift: Nights | 12‑hour shifts
Hours: 36/48 Alternating Schedule (Bi‑weekly)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality maternal and newborn care in a critical access hospital setting. The RN will work night shifts and deliver comprehensive nursing care for laboring mothers, infants, and postpartum patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
- Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and labor progression.
- Assist with labor support, deliveries, and emergency interventions.
- Administer medications, IVs, and follow all L&D clinical protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with facility standards.
- Support patient education regarding labor, postpartum care, and newborn health.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies as needed (e.g., PPH, preeclampsia).
- Active RN license (TX or compact state).
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (preferred).
- BLS and NRP required; ACLS preferred depending on facility policy.
- Ability to work independently in a critical access setting.
- Strong assessment, communication, and emergency response skills.
