To provide professional nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. To collaborate with other members of the health care delivery team including physicians, to deliver quality health care.

• Education: Required: ADN;
  Preferred: BSN
• Licensure & Certification: Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state;
  Current BLS certification; ACLS certification and NRP within 6 months from date of hire or transfer to L&D; S.T.A.B.L.E. certification (preferred)
• Experience: Labor and delivery, obstetrics and gynecology and postpartum experience (preferred)
• Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Reads and writes Basic English;
  Knowledge of body substance isolation;
  Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family and partners needs;
  Basic computer literacy and skill level to complete patient documentation;
  Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred);
  Ability to assist with delivery; AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring Practices and Principles within 12 months from date of hire or transfer to L&D
