Infusion Nurse

Employment Type: Part‑time – Mondays 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with Tuesdays as an overflow day if needed.
Job SummaryProvide professional nursing care to patients requiring intravenous infusion therapy. Administer treatments as directed by a physician, monitor patients, document observations, and educate patients and families about infusion procedures.
Qualifications / Educational Requirements- Licensed registered nurse with a current state license.
- Minimum of one year of infusion nursing experience.
- Ability to work positively and favorably with patients, families, and staff.
- Perform infusion therapy as directed by physician orders.*
- Establish intravenous access per policy and procedure.*
- Observe, assess, and document symptoms via nurse note in a timely manner.*
- Monitor reactions and patient progress.*
- Educate patients and caregivers on disease processes, medications, side effects, and risks.
- Schedule follow‑up appointments for next therapy.*
- Notify the physician and other personnel (including the CEO) of changes in the patient’s condition.*
- Perform skills outlined in the agency’s approved policy and procedure manual.*
- Update clinical records according to policy and procedures.*
- Maintain and update knowledge and skills by attending in‑service programs, continuing education, seminars, and self‑study programs annually.*
- Perform inventory count before and after clinic daily and communicate needs to me
- Communicate supply needs as needed to
- Adhere to safe nursing practice standards.
- Maintain professionalism with patients and staff.
- Obtain satisfaction surveys from patients as needed.
- Collect co‑pays as required.
- Call no‑show patients as needed.
- Be knowledgeable about medications to be administered. Reference RxTool Kit.
- Mix medication per policy and procedure (never before patient arrival).
- Adhere to Medicaid and Medicare regulations.*
- Participate in clinical research.
