Responsibilities
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from five years to geriatrics, depending on the unit. CNAs work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Qualifications- Education: High School Degree or equivalent;
Certified Nursing Assistant required. - Experience: Two (2) years of related experience in psychiatric patient care techniques with an understanding of mental illness preferred.
- Additional Requirements: Successful completion of Handle With Care Training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with restraining procedures; may be required to work overtime, some holidays and weekends; current CPR certification required.
