Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule / ShiftShift: 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM with 4 weekend shift commitments. No on-call requirements.
Job DescriptionJoin our team as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a 34-bed Bariatric Medical/Surgical unit. You will work alongside a dedicated staff of 56 that includes 1 charge nurse, 6 nurses, and 3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) during the day shift, and a similar configuration s role is pivotal in providing exceptional patient care within our dynamic environment, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients, including wound care and tube feedings.
- Manage and troubleshoot wound vacs, trachs, and suction equipment.
- Conduct patient assessments and assist in the development of care plans.
- Current BLS certification.
- Proficiency in starting IVs, Foley insertion/management, NGT insertion/management, and colostomy system exchange.
- Experience with drain management (JP, Hemovac, Wound Vac).
Must have a valid LVN license. Additional preferred experience includes chest tube management and port-a-cath access and de-access competencies.
