Description:
CONTRACT - LPN - Medical Surgical Unit. Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No call required. The unit has a total of 30 beds. Staffing includes 1 Charge Nurse (CNC), 5 Registered Nurses (RNs), 2 Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on night shift. Patient ratios are 1:6. Equipment utilized includes feeding pumps, IV pumps, lift equipment, wound VACs, PCA, and oxygen.
Experience in the care of patients with cardiac, renal transplant, dialysis, pulmonary, gastrointestinal issues, and diabetes is preferred. Typical procedures on the unit include respiratory treatments. Ideal candidates should exhibit adaptability to a fast-paced environment and possess cultural competency in diverse care settings. Teamwork is a vital component of this unit's dynamic. Dress Code:
Scrub colors are royal blue for RNs and green for CNAs. The unit is recognized with awards such as the Daisy Bee Award and I-CARE Employee of the Month/year. A friendly, helpful, and supportive team atmosphere is fostered, with several tenured licensed nurses bringing 12-24 years of experience.
