Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

This is a 13-week contract position for a Licensed Practical Nurse in a medical-surgical unit. The shift is from 07:00 to 19:00 with no call requirements. The unit has 34 beds and operates with a staff ratio of 1 charge nurse to 6 nurses and 3 PCTs on day shifts. On night shifts, the ratio remains the same. The facility uses equipment such as wound vacs, tracheostomy supplies, suction devices, and various IV pumps.

Candidates should be team players and demonstrate accountability. The dress code includes galaxy blue scrubs, with black or blue jackets permitted. Visible tattoos are not acceptable. Candidates will be preferred if they have skills in chest tube management and Port-a-Cath access and de-access competencies. Typical procedures in this unit include wound care and tube feedings.
