Job Summary
The Assistant Manager, Operations is an essential part of the store leadership team, responsible for ensuring the retail business runs smoothly. This role manages business enablers (financials, P&L, budget, expenses, cash), inventory, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities, writes the weekly schedule, and performs people‑related administrative activities such as payroll. The assistant manager also executes company‑driven operations projects at the store level.
CoreResponsibilities of the Job
- Operations, Product, and Strategy
- Implement the Store Manager’s Operations vision and cascade to team members.
- Plan and prepare weekly team member schedules according to labor requirements, availability, and budget considerations.
- Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
- Review, monitor, and partner with Store Manager to manage the budget and other business data and metrics, and inform planning processes.
- Provide retail floor leadership to team members, including planning coverage and making decisions to maintain efficiency.
- Support sell‑through management by ensuring accuracy of inventory counts and coordinating labor hours.
- Execute company‑level operations‑focused directives, projects, and initiatives.
- Understand and adhere to people safety policies and procedures.

- Create and foster a respectful, inclusive team environment.
- Perform administrative actions: payroll, vacation approval, shift swaps, documentation.
- Inform people managers of projected team growth needs.
- Establish supportive relationships with all team members, focusing on development.

- Facilitate a seamless end‑to‑end guest experience, monitoring omnichannel programs.
- Collaborate with team to ensure an optimal guest experience.
- Resolve guest feedback, including escalations and urgent requests.
- Budget Responsibility
- Accountable for delegated aspects of controllable budget and labor hours.

- Indirectly responsible for a subset of store employees as delegated by Store Manager.

- Must have reliable transportation to travel to the assigned store.
- Schedule / Availability
- Work occurs on a variable schedule which can include early mornings, mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights or overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience
- At least 1 year of experience managing business operations and administration, including scheduling and managing labor hours, and managing projects or processes.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. - Education:
