Produce Clerk

Overview

Collaborate with a team to deliver the finest produce presentation, maintaining high standards of customer service and a fast‑paced, friendly environment.

As a Produce Clerk, you will live the Sprouts name daily. You will stock the produce department, ensuring presentation, facing, filling, and organization of all product items per Produce Department schematics, accurate tagging and pricing, and proper stocking and rotation (trimming, watering, merchandising). You will maintain inventory control, maximize product freshness, and answer customer questions in a friendly and helpful manner.

Team members under the age of 18 are restricted from the following tasks:

• Using a knife (other than safety cutters)
• Using a ladder
• Operating garbage or cardboard compactor
• Operating any motor/electrically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks)
• Working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods of time

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Dependable and reliable with flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Show mutual respect for others, maintain a high‑level code of ethics within Sprouts culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
• Can perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize and stay organized
• Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire workday and lift, stack and maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs. for up to 3 feet without mechanical assistance; also maneuver a utility cart holding 20 lbs. requiring a force up to 35 lbs. for up to 2 hours
• Walk up to 5 miles in an 8‑hour shift
• Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA and Weights and Measures regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned
