Base pay: $30.00/hr additional $5.09 health & welfare subsidy. $2,500 sign‑on bonus for qualified candidates with a current DHS ICE Clearance and at least one year of detention experience (available after November 9, 2025).

Responsibilities
  • Provide secure and safe transportation of detainees to and from authorized locations in El Paso, TX and surrounding areas.
  • Perform duties related to detention, processing, safeguarding, security, escort and transport of detainees.
  • Exercise surveillance, control and maintain order and discipline during transports.
  • Make official entries in transportation and processing logbooks that are legible and complete.
  • Conduct security and sanitation checks of areas before relieving outgoing officer.
  • Perform complete vehicle inspections before and after every transportation route.
  • Operate in full compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Inventory all equipment and note results in the logbook.
  • Receive authorized equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition.
  • Duty‑carry authorized intermediate weapons in accordance with Service‑approved Use of Force policy.
  • Ensure communication radio is in good working order with a fully charged battery.
  • Maintain and care for authorized equipment: semi‑automatic pistol, duty belt, magazines; handcuffs/leg irons, waist chains, black boxes, restraint keys; ballistic vests (must be worn at all times).
  • Attend to housing, feeding, and the physical well‑being of detainees 24 hours a day.
  • Enforce rules and regulations of the detention facility.
  • Provide care, custody, and control of detainees.
  • Remove detainees from holding areas using proper restraints and security measures.
  • Guard detainees at deportation or exclusion hearings, during transport, while receiving medical care and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Follow organizational policies, procedures and company safety policies outlined in the Officer Handbook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must pass a criminal background check (no criminal record) and be able to pass medical, physical and drug tests.
  • Must obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance and a valid state armed security license.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and CDL.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Pass all pre‑employment and random drug tests; meet health requirements.
  • At least one year of military, security, law‑enforcement or corrections experience demonstrating:
    • Greeting and dealing professionally with the public.
    • Following written and verbal orders and policies; composing written and oral reports.
    • Exercise good judgment, courage and even temperament; maintain poise in emergencies.
    • Meet physical fitness standards for law‑enforcement and CDL requirements.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English effectively.
  • Concisely and accurately prepare narratives of incidents and other written reports.
  • Pass required medical and physical testing requirements and standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in securing and controlling detainees following required training and policies.
  • Maintain professional appearance, calm demeanor and discretion with sensitive information.
  • Possess high integrity and accountability.
  • Knowledge of ICE PBNDS is a plus.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and cross‑cultural perspective.
Preferred
  • Bilingual (any language).
