As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will perform access control duties and conduct routine patrols at a utilities location, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized entry. Your visible presence and attentiveness support a secure environment for staff and visitors, while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication.

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Monitor access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or breaches within the utilities location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual conditions.
• Document and report security‑related incidents, unusual activity, and/or maintenance concerns as encountered during assigned duties.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, contractors, and employees to verify credentials and permit access as appropriate.
• Support Allied Universal and client leadership with security‑related tasks and provide information as needed during incidents or emergencies.

• Minimum of two years of security‑related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
