Plumbing Service Technician

Overview

Mr. Rooter Plumbing is looking for a Service Technician. We offer hands-on training, opportunities for career growth, and a path to more advanced plumbing skills and credentials. You will work in a field with steady demand and impact lives by solving customers’ plumbing problems.

Initially, you’ll train with a tech to learn the knowledge and skills needed. Once up to speed, you’ll be the face of the company and critical in providing an excellent experience for our customers. Your duties include:

• Communicating with customers to help solve problems in their homes with drainage and plumbing systems.
• Diagnosing the issue and offering homeowner options to solve the problem.
• Completing whole home plumbing inspections and providing proactive recommendations.
• Providing repair and maintenance services, such as clearing drains of clogs.
• Following the Mr. Rooter Plumbing process from greeting the customer to collecting payment.

The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for this position:

• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and crawl into confined spaces.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable – you’ll be driving our company vehicle.
• Must have at least 2 years of drain cleaning and plumbing experience.
• Must have basic tools needed to perform services.
