The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and reliably.
- Respond promptly to service calls and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Calibrate systems to manufacturer's specifications and ensure optimal system performance.
- Provide clear and professional communication with clients regarding service performed, maintenance tips, and repair options.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or HVAC certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in HVAC service and repair (both residential and commercial systems).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a variety of settings, including rooftops, attics, and crawl spaces.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
- Knowledge of control systems, energy management systems, and refrigeration.
- Experience with ductwork fabrication and installation.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS).
- Travel to job sites required (company vehicle may be provided).
- Indoor and outdoor work, occasionally in extreme weather conditions.
- May involve overtime, evening, and weekend work depending on client needs.
