The Application Developer will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of custom enterprise applications utilized by the business in support of achieving objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Architect, design, and lead the development of custom enterprise applications.
- Set the technical direction for projects, ensuring that all development efforts align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Serve as a technical expert within the department, providing strategic input on emerging technologies and tools.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the development and deployment of sophisticated application solutions.
- Manage the full application development lifecycle, from initial concept to production deployment and maintenance.
- Drive the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and standards within the team.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure the successful delivery of applications.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to Level I and II developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation.
This role may have some mentoring and training required for junior and mid-level developers.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Seven or more (7+) years of experience in application development, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- Extensive experience with the Microsoft Azure platform, including architecture and design.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience leading large teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A deep understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Dev Ops practices.
- Commitment to staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Preferred location El Paso TX or Las Cruces NM.
