Logistics Analyst

Purpose Of Position

Analyze product delivery or supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes.

• Maintain databases of logistics information.
• Interpret data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation.
• Provide ongoing analyses in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, or delivery processes.
• Prepare reports on logistics performance measures.
• Confer with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply chain efficiency, or minimize cost.
• Remotely monitor the flow of vehicles or inventory, using Webbased logistics information systems to track vehicles or containers.
• Track product flow from origin to final delivery.
• Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes.
• Enter logistics related data into databases.
• Develop or maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting.

• Must possess DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
• Must pass Drug and Alcohol Test.
• Three Five years of related experience.
• Experience with Open and Closed Document Control Register (DCR) in the GCSSArmy system.
• Experience in DoD Acquisition Logistics.
• High School diploma, bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly desired.

• May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distance.
• Work environment is predominately office.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to operate a computer for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to operate a phone both making and receiving calls and taking or conveying information.
• Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
