Job Description Redlands Community College is seeking a motivated, student-focused professional tojoin our Admissions and Advising team as a Student Services Specialist I. This isa full-time, 12-month professional staff position with a salary range of $36,000–$38,000annually, plus an excellent benefits package.

** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
*** Evaluate and process student applications.
* Communicate with prospective students throughout the admissions process.
* Advise and enroll new, returning, and concurrent students.
* Serve as an academic advisor for current students and help students navigate their  educational journey.
* Utilize an early alert and case management system to identify students who may need  additional support.
* Provide interventions, referrals, and appropriate resources to help students overcome  barriers.
* Assist students with degree completion and persistence.
* Stay informed about current trends and best practices in student retention and student  success.
* Represent Redlands Community College at college and career fairs, open houses, and  other recruitment events.
* Visit area high schools and participate in concurrent classroom visits.
* Engage in off-campus recruitment activities, which may occasionally include overnight  travel.
* Build relationships and communicate effectively with prospective students and families.
* Lead or assist with special projects supporting admissions, advising, recruitment,  and retention.
* Maintain confidentiality and perform all responsibilities in compliance with FERPA.
* Serve on the scholarship committee.
* Participate in departmental and college meetings.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Qualifications:

*** Bachelor’s degree, or the ability to complete a bachelor’s degree within 12 months  of employment with Redlands Community College.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and professional peers.
* Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
