Overview

Job Title:

Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Computed Tomography)

Location:

Oklahoma City, OK (SSM Health – St. Anthony El Reno area referenced in listing);

Schedule:

PRN / Per Diem;
Department: CT and Radiology.

Job Summary

Performs a variety of imaging exams used in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries, including CT procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Must work at least 30% of FTE in secondary modality to be eligible for a Multiple Modality job.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Implements radiation protection and safety standards.
  • Prepare, perform and assist the physician in special and advanced procedures.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Help position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms and film storage areas.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Associate's degree or completion of a Radiology certification program or registered in Radiology.
  • Experience:

    No experience required.
  • Licensure/

    Certifications:

    ARRT-R Radiography and ARRT-CT Computed Tomography (or equivalent NMTCB credentials);
    Basic Life Support (BLS HCP) from AHA; state licenses as applicable (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin references in listing).
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and walking; frequent vision, depth perception, hearing and speech use; ability to distinguish body sounds and alarms.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling 0–25 lbs; occasional 25–50 lbs; frequent patient movement; repetitive keyboard use; occasional bending, stooping, twisting; rare kneeling or sitting.
Work Schedule

PRN / Per Diem shifts (United States of America).
