Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst, Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk
X& Business Management (X&BM) is a business-management firm based in Los Angeles. Business management is the profession of running the entire financial life of a client: entertainers, athletes, founders, and cultural figures whose income arrives from many sources, flows through many entities, and touches many advisors. X&BM handles all of it: accounting, bill pay, cash management, payroll, royalty administration, insurance, and tax.
The client gets one team, one set of numbers, and one trusted advisor who knows everything about their money and answers the phone when it matters. X&BM is built to deliver accuracy, speed, and discretion without compromise.
X&BM is the business-management arm of X&, a financial holding company dedicated to maximizing human potential by operating, investing in, and building businesses at the intersection of capital, influence, and technology. Through X&VC, X& backs exceptional founders and funds with institutional venture capital, global networks, brand support, and go-to-market expertise. X& draws on "Influential Capital," the combination of capital, distribution, access, and trust, to create advantages beyond traditional financing.
The company is headquartered in Los Angeles and Tokyo and works alongside partner funds including Aoki Labs, BYL Ventures, Hart Beat Ventures, and Markham Valley Ventures. For X&BM's clients, that means a business manager who sits inside a house with capital, deal flow, and relationships that a standalone firm cannot offer.
The Account Executive is the day-to-day financial operator for a book of X&BM clients. This is a full-time, on-site role in Los Angeles, reporting to a Business Manager and working directly with clients, their teams, and the firm's tax, royalty, and insurance specialists.
The Account Executive is the person a client calls first. That means:
- Running the client's financial life. Owning cash management, bill pay, payroll, and vendor relationships across every entity in the client's structure: personal accounts, loan-out corporations, touring and production entities, and household staff.
- Cash flow and budgets. Building and maintaining each client's cash-flow forecast and budget, tracking actuals against plan, and flagging problems before they become problems. Preparing tour budgets and settlements, project budgets, and per-event reconciliations when the client's work demands it.
- Books and reporting. Overseeing the accounting for each client's entities, reviewing the monthly close, and delivering clear financial reports the client and their advisors can act on.
- Income tracking. Monitoring contracted income against receipts: advances, royalties, endorsements, appearance fees, salary, and investment distributions. Chasing what is late and coordinating with the royalty team on what is missing.
- The client's team. Working daily with agents, managers, attorneys, publicists, tour managers, and family offices. Coordinating with X&BM's tax, insurance, and royalty specialists so the client sees one firm, not five departments.
- Major transactions and life events. Supporting the Business Manager on property purchases, deal closings, entity formation, financing, and estate matters. Assembling the numbers, running the logistics, and making sure nothing falls between advisors.
- Discretion. Handling the financial details of public figures with complete confidentiality, every day, without exception.
The Account Executive grows into a Business Manager role by demonstrating judgment on the accounts they run.
Qualifications- Three or more years in business management, family-office accounting, or a client-facing accounting role serving high-net-worth individuals. Entertainment or sports experience is strongly preferred.
- Working command of bookkeeping and accounting: general ledger, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and the monthly close. Ability to read and explain a financial statement.
- Experience with cash-flow forecasting and budgeting for individuals with irregular income.
- Familiarity with loan-out corporations, tour and production accounting, royalty and commission income, and multi-entity client structures.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or progress toward it is a plus.
- Fluency in modern financial software. Comfort learning new tools quickly.
- Exceptional organization and follow-through. The role runs on deadlines, details, and a calendar that never slips.
- Clear, warm, direct…
