Legal Secretary
Our client, a leader in the legal and financial services industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Support Specialist to join their team. As a Legal Support Specialist, you will be an essential part of the Restructuring department, supporting case management and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, which will enable you to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
What’sthe Job?
- Format and organize data in Excel to ensure accuracy and accessibility for case files
- Handle mailings for legal cases and compile certificates of service for court filing
- Monitor court websites for newly filed documents and update case dockets accordingly
- Respond to creditor inquiries via phone and email regarding case status and deadlines
- Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing affidavits of service and managing case-related documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to quickly learn proprietary software and applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- One to two years of related office experience or relevant training is a plus but not required
- Opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment
- Potential for full-time conversion after 90 days or 481 hours
- Career growth with potential promotion to Case Consultant within one year
- Potential salary increase to $30-$35 per hour in the promoted role
- Engagement in meaningful work supporting legal and financial processes
