Packaging Graphic Designer job at Solomon Page. El Segundo, CA. Our client, a well-known beauty company, is looking for a Packaging Graphic Designer to join their team for a 12 month contract in El Segundo, CA. This position requires working onsite 3 days a week. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of packaging design experience.

• Create 2D + 3D renderings for product packaging
• Mechanicals:
  Laying out artwork, ensuring packaging designs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and guidelines, packing up files to send to suppliers, and understanding printing deco treatments such as Pantones, foil, and more.
• Use TAG software to upload/approve artwork
• Conceptual design for secondary packaging
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and manufacturing, to understand packaging requirements and project goals
• Conduct design research and stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovative packaging designs.
• Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of packaging designs.
• Maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all packaging designs meet quality standards and are error‑free.

• 5+ years in packaging design
• A strong portfolio showcasing your creative packaging designs and high quality 2D renderings
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino or solid works, InDesign, Dimension), TAG, and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of packaging design principles, materials, and production processes.
